I am a Creative Director who specializes in the brand experience for print, digital, and environmental formats.
With over 15 years of wholehearted dedication in the creative industry, I enjoy helping organizations bring their mission and offerings to life via conceptually creative and engaging brand experiences across multichannel marketing communications and across international borders. My goal is to amplify their presence to the world by discovering the authenticity of their brand, experimenting with new ideas, harmonizing their complex framework, establishing clear differentiation across their offerings, and crafting memorable brand experiences.
Recognizing that success is largely fueled by teamwork, I have experience leading cross-functional teams (art directors, copywriters, motion/video designers, web developers, etc.), collaborating with event/stage production teams, and communicating with C-level executives to deliver creative solutions that meet expectations. Together, we transform client missions into compelling narratives and engaging experiences that create lasting impact. Most importantly, my leadership approach is fostering an inclusive team culture and highlighting that the most groundbreaking ideas are a team effort.
What drives my passion even further is when the outcome of my services are mindful of the well-being of people and the beauty of our planet.
This leads to my profound engagement over the past few years with Global Citizen, an international advocacy organization dedicated to promoting activism on critical issues such as climate change, poverty, and equity. Through innovative platforms like their action-taking app, annual music festivals, and worldwide events, Global Citizen’s unique business model connects millions of activists, artists, and celebrities to mobilize and call for action from world leaders, corporations, and philanthropists.
As a creative member of the Growth Team, our responsibilities include crafting visually and conceptually distinctive global marketing campaigns for each festival and event, transforming them into historic moments where collective activism, dialogue, and music catalyze commitments from world leaders and organizations for social impact. Our creative approach for each campaign is tailored, drawing inspiration from its purpose and location, and mindful of cultural norms. Utilizing visual styles spanning from gritty street-level activism to elegant award celebrations, our objective is to create event experiences that resonate with diverse audiences worldwide and inspires them to take action.
Fully embracing the organization’s purpose and the activism tied to each event, the pinnacle of my professional journey has undeniably been serving as the lead designer for one of the most impactful campaigns of my career, Global Citizen’s POWER OUR PLANET: LIVE IN PARIS. A year-long campaign focusing on climate financing, unveiled at Global Citizen NOW in NYC by Mia Mottley, Hugh Jackman, and Hugh Evans, culminating in a live event in Paris.
The event was strategically scheduled to align with the Summit for a New Global Financial Pact, chaired by Emmanuel Macron, where leaders from around the world convened to address the financial challenges confronting the world’s most vulnerable nations in light of climate change. And, considering the world’s most vulnerable countries contribute the least to climate change yet suffer its most severe consequences, the POWER OUR PLANET: LIVE IN PARIS event featured artists, celebrities, politicians, and activists who took to the stage to call on world leaders to ensure these nations have access to better climate financing solutions.
The event unfolded on the magnificent Champ de Mars, with the iconic Eiffel Tower standing tall in the backdrop. It featured musical performances by Lenny Kravitz, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Finneas, Jon Batiste, alongside speeches delivered by climate activists and leaders from Brazil, Kenya, Barbados, and the World Bank. Notable celebrities such as Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh also took to the stage, demonstrating their solidarity and support.
One incredible show broadcasted live worldwide and accompanied by a far-reaching multichannel campaign of substantial impact: over 250,000 actions, a live audience of 20,000 activists, attendance by 5 world leaders and heads of multilateral organizations, 10 celebrity performances, and spotlight on 18 featured activists. Even Greta Thunberg made a last-minute appearance to witness the show and show her support. Following the event, the World Bank announced plans to ease financing for countries affected by natural disasters and the International Monetary Fund said it hit a target to make $100 billion available for vulnerable nations.
Prior to joining Global Citizen, I worked at Dentons, recognized as one of the largest law firms globally. As the Global Senior Creative Manager within the in-house Brand Team, my role extended to being a brand ambassador, establishing recognition across the firm’s service and product offerings, managing project workflows in a demanding environment while cultivating a collaborative culture within the global creative team. In this capacity, I had the oportunity to spearhead the brand refresh for Dentons, as well as the creative direction for numerous global events, each hosting over 1,000 attendees. This involved active engagement in meetings with executive teams to align our creative solutions with their vision for the events’ purpose, branding, live stage presentations, venue signage and bespoke activations.
Early in my career, I also had the opportunity to work at several well-known design agencies such as Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Carbone Smolan Agency, and Pentagram New York, where I had the privilege to collaborate with high-profile designers like Woody Pirtle, Michael Bierut and Lisa Strausfield. Accounts included Amnesty International, American Folk Art Museum, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Sex, Barnes & Noble and W. L. Gore.
In my freelance endeavors, I offer creative direction to clients across a broad spectrum of projects, encompassing diverse industries such as non-profit organizations, startups, and large-scale businesses.
My freelance client list includes OceanX, Global Citizen, Brooklyn Ballet, Hearing Health Foundation, H2K Labs, Water for Life, Rowdy Girl Film, The Invisible Extinction, Three Furies Consulting (The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, Expeditionary Learning, Bob Woodruff Foundation, Out Leadership, Public Works Partners, HR Certified Institute, Dentons, Hughes Hubbard & Reed, Hanson Bridgett), Van Leeuwen, Curated Home and Living, Tertium Quid, Art Intelligence, Room to Grow, Kaufman Music Center, Nepszava Szabadcsag – American Hungarian Newspaper, Augusta Street Kitchen, and others.
Outside of work, I am committed to personal growth, community involvement, cultural enrichment, and well-being.
For personal development, I continually pursue creative and professional growth opportunities. In 2022, I completed a 12-week Product Design Course through Dribbble, where I gained practical skills in UX design, including user research, flow development, interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and testing. In 2020, inspired by large-scale street art, I took Lauren Hom’s Mural Painting for Designers course, which sparked my passion for creating large-scale art.
Volunteering is central to my life, and I’ve dedicated time to causes supporting LGBTQ+ rights, environmental sustainability, and social justice. Contributing to these efforts allows me to give back to my community and help build a more compassionate world.
Culturally, I find inspiration through regular visits to museums, galleries, exhibitions, and performance centers, which stimulate both my creativity and intellect. Whether admiring the intricate details of a painting, immersing myself in interactive installations or enjoying a live performance, these experiences broaden my perspective and enrich my creative process.
For over a decade, vinyasa yoga has been an integral part of my life. Through the rhythm of breath and movement, it has helped me cultivate mindfulness, balance, and inner peace. Along with yoga, I also enjoy outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding, which allow me to reconnect with nature and recharge.
My heritage is of Hungarian-Romanian descent and I was born and raised in a small picturesque village in Transylvania, Romania. After moving to the United States, I studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City where I received my BFA in graphic design in 2002. Currently, my family and I live in Montclair, NJ.
